Lordy, Lordy, It's Been Forty!!!

We got together today to celebrate my parent's anniversary.They have been married forty wonderful years!!! We met at Rood Bridge Park and had a picnic. We had a fun time going on a walk, racing each other, and eating lots of food. We ended the day by watching a video that we put together for them. It was a wonderful day for two wonderful people. We love you Mom and Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Swim Lessons Summer 2008

We made it through our first official swim lessons. Yes, we are horrible parents. Drew has only been in one previous swim lesson but I don't count it because they were really bad!! We have really learned our lesson about waiting until kids are old enough to be scared of the water. Poor Drew was terrified of the water for the first two swim lessons. He would not go underwater and basically scarred his teacher's arm and back from digging his fingernails into her because he was so scared. Maggie, on the other hand, was a dream student!!! She did everything the teacher asked and really learned a lot. She would always tell Drew how easy it was and "since he was the tallest and oldest in the class he should be able to do it too." I think Maggie really helped Drew push through. He saw her doing it so he really wanted to learn too. We practiced on all their off days and Drew is now able to do everything. The teacher was very proud of them and so are we!!!

Beach Weekend

We had a very fun Memorial Day weekend at the coast. Our friends Tom and Kelly Lambert have the most beautiful beach house. It is so, so, so nice. Everyone should go to the Olivia Beach website and select the home titled Ocean Mist. You will love it!!!

Silverwood

We went on an early summer adventure to Silverwood Amusement Park. It is in Hayden Idaho. We made a stop in Richland on the way there and the way back. We found out that a trip to Richland is exactly the time it takes to watch the movies Hairspray and High School Musical. Thank goodness for portable DVD players. The kids had so much fun with Grammy Rose. It was a very special trip.
