The Big Sleepover

All eleven grandkids await this night the whole year. The big sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids had so much fun. They ate treats, did crafts, played games, danced and stayed up as late as they wanted. The Sleepover Fairy paid a visit and of course topped the whole experience off with lots and lots of presents. This is an annual event that has brought so many happy memories to all the grandkids. They are so lucky to have such a special Grandma and Grandpa!!!!

Maggie and Mama

Maggie and I had some special mother daughter bonding today. Jim went to the Portland Beaver game with Drew and our friends the Stehman's. I let Maggie pick what she wanted to do. She chose going to the park, playing house/store, and watching Sponge Bob. We had a lot of fun.

First Loose Tooth

Drew is so excited to have his first loose tooth. I think he was about the only one in his Kindergarten class who had not lost a tooth. He is already wondering what the tooth fairy is going to leave under his pillow.

Anniversary Observed

Jim and I celebrated 9 wonderful years of marriage on August 21st. Our anniversary fell on a Thursday so we officially celebrated on Friday. We both took the day off which was so wonderful. We spent the morning with Drew and Maggie and then dropped them off at Aunt Carrie's house for a sleepover. Jim and I went on a 6 1/2 mile hike in Forest Park. For those of you who know me well, I know you are shocked, but I actually really enjoyed it. We met some friends for dinner at Palominos which is in the Pearl District. It was awesome. I highly recommend it. We had a great Anniversary.

We Made It!!!

We survived our five days with five kids!! It went way better than I thought it would. I am tired though!! I have a new appretiation for mothers who have five children. We spent our last day with the kids riding scooters, playing tennis and playing at the park. We stopped and got ice cream as a last hoorah. We handed off the kids to Grandma and Grandpa at 5pm on Sunday. McKenzie and Kelsey will stay there for seven days while Conner will be floating around amongst family and friends.

Moore Fun :)

We had another adventurous day today. We tried out the Tualatin Crawfish Festival. It was a total bomb. Jim had good intentions, but it was way too expensive. The kids did have fun watching the dog show and playing at the park. We took them to Red Robin to make up for not being able to go on any rides or play any of the games at the Festival. I think Drew was the only one who was really crushed. He is sort of addicted to playing carnival games and getting the prizes. We finished the day with a trip to SAC.
